DESCRIPTION:Nowadays researchers in biotechnology and at pharmaceutical in
 dustries are supported by many \nchemical software development platforms a
 nd desktop applications. JChem is one example of \nsuch key software platf
 orms\, which is a java based suite of integrated programs and toolkits for
  \nmany cheminformatics tasks. Its components include chemical database en
 gines\, chemical \nstructure editor and visualization tools\, physicochemi
 cal property predictors and other tools for \nchemical structure manipulat
 ion. In collaboration with MTA SZTAKI’s Application Porting \nCentre dis
 tributed computing infrastructure (DCI) support was added to the JChem fra
 mework \nto increase its processing power. Our project work addressed all 
 issues how to combine a highly \nspecialized chemical software development
  platform with a stand-alone DCI focused application \ndevelopment environ
 ment\; namely with gUSE - grid User Support Environment.\n\nhttps://www.in
